She doesn’t have trust issues, or maybe she does. But I think the main problem is that she’s been disappointed so many times before that she can’t rely on anyone anymore. As much as she wants to believe the things you tell her, it’s hard. You won’t really understand until you’ve been in her shoes.  She might seem like she’s got it all together but she doesn’t. She wants to trust you, she really really wants to but she can’t risk getting hurt again.
